Mage's Tier 1, Arcanist Regalia has some nice perks, the 3-set bonus gives you a Spell Damage boost, the 5-set is mostly forgettable, and the 8-set bonus reduces your threat generation by 15, which is really nice but not enough to warrant using the full set as there are. You will have really nice dps with this combination. This is the (Frost) gear we recommend you to chase while doing the first raids in the game: Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair.
Here comes the really nice thing about these trinkets:Īctivate Hero Charm, Talisman and Arcane Power -> if you're lucky first frostbolt will hit for 3000-3200 dmg critical (non crit 1500-1600), use POM (POM = next spell instant) and press you're thumbs for another crit with 2900-3100 dmg :) My frostbolts hit normally for 800-840 dmg non crit. The reason for this is simple: ToEP gets applied to every DoT tick that occurs while it is active. It takes full advantage of the Lions Claw Ash of War in a Colossal. My mage ist 32/19 arc/frost and has 6 parts of the netherwind set + staff of dominance (so normal gear if you're doing raids a long time ^^). That being said, a Warlock can get a lot more benefit out of ToEP than a Mage can, if they're smart. 10 Berserk Guts For a pure Strength build, one cant go wrong with this Berserk tribute build which happened to be overpowered.
